Miles Edwards, Esq. is a Partner at Jacko Law Group, PC ("JLG"), where he focuses on global private funds, investment advisers, and broker-dealers, assisting them with their formation, regulatory, and legal requirements. He brings with him over 30 years of legal and compliance experience in the global financial sector and has served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for global private funds, investment banks, investment advisers, and broker-dealers.

Mr. Edwards is widely regarded as a leading expert in international private fund regulatory regimes. He serves frequently on conference panels and is a noted author on compliance and risk. As an adjunct professor in the Financial Services LLM Program at New York Law School, Mr. Edwards has lectured on diverse topics, including "best practices" for Portfolio Managers and aspects of operating in offshore domiciles.

He is a former member of the New York Hedge Fund Roundtable’s Education and Best Practices Subcommittee, and previously served on the Advisory Board of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors ("AM&AA"), assisting with expanding the knowledge base for participants in the New York middle-tier investment banking and private equity sectors. Mr. Edwards was one of the founding members of the Trans-Atlantic Financial Forum, which assists governmental officials in Washington and London in developing policy and legislation affecting the alternative investment community. He is one of the two founding members of the New York Family Office Private Funds Roundtable, dedicated to bringing together professionals involved in the New York and international family office and private funds space. Mr. Edwards has served on the FINRA New York Region District 10 Committee and was appointed by the FINRA Board of Governors as an at-large member on the Small Firm Advisory Board and concluded his term as its Chairman. He is currently a member of the NY Chapter of InfraGard, the partnership between the FBI and members of the private sector.

As a patron of the arts, he is involved in supporting art programs in his community. In addition, he mentors individuals involved in entrepreneurial start-ups and promotes disruptive technology.

Mr. Edwards received his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC, with a concentration in Securities and Corporate Law, and his Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language, Culture, and Geography from Syracuse University.

He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, the New Jersey State and New Jersey Federal District Bars, and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
